Beer Kitchen

We had a delicious dinner at the Beer Kitchen in Westport. It is our 2nd visit, the first being last Sunday for brunch. Last week, I had the best turkey sandwich of my life. This time, oven fried chicken with roasted brussel sprouts and an itty bitty Guiness. For dessert, Ed & I shared a Mini S'mores Pots de Creme. If you come to visit, we are so going to eat here.

Strawberry Scones

Strawberry Scones. I decided to forgo the traditional triangle shape and just use round biscuit cutters. Next time, I may add a nice glaze.

Orange Pound Cake

I tried a new recipe for Orange Pound Cake. I found 2 recipes and did a little frankenstein. It is really good, if you cannot tell from the pics below. It made 2 loaves, and Ed managed to eat one by himself.

Can you see the flecks of orange zest? The aroma alone was enough to make the mouth water.
